Richardson Racing is delighted to be inviting the Spinal Injuries Association as its special guest for the final rounds of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch next month (12 - 13 October 2019).
The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) represents the interests of the estimated 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury (SCI) in the UK, as well as the many hundreds of thousands of people who are their families, friends and treating healthcare professionals.
SIA provides SCI people with the hope, confidence and practical skills to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of SCI – from the moment of injury and beyond. Via a wide range of vital services, SIA offers practical and emotional support, and information and advice to empower SCI people to lead full and independent lives.
Richardson Racing, a leading team in the BTCC-supporting Ginetta Junior and British Formula 4 championships, is hosting a private box for SIA guests across the weekend, who will enjoy a VIP experience for the exciting BTCC season finale.
Alongside a prime view of the action, guests will enjoy an appearance from British Touring Car Championship star Tom Oliphant, a guided paddock tour including a meet and greet with Richardson Racing’s young drivers, and a charity auction.
SIA will benefit from an anticipated 30,000 trackside crowd and live ITV4 television coverage with advertisements in the race day programme and trackside hoardings, alongside bucket collections around the circuit on the Sunday.
SIA has a strong connection to Brands Hatch, with one of its team members, Carl Martin, having sustained an SCI during a motorcycle track day at the track. He now supports other SCI people and their families, as a Peer Support Officer for the charity.
